Our approach to garden buildings – understanding your specific needs, always building from scratch, using only the best methods and materials, and installing the building ourselves – ensures a premium product designed to give years of enjoyment.
We recognise that gardens and gardeners are unique. What you grow, how you work, the size and design of your garden, your budget, all of these things can influence the building you want and need. So we take time to understand just what size and type of building is right for you.
Then, once these considerations are been talked through, and your perfect building agreed-upon, consistency and quality control become key. We are uncompromising on the build quality.
We always build to order, and use only quality methods and materials (see Material Differences below). We pre-erect your shed before delivery to ensure we are happy with the product before it even leaves our workshop. Then we come and put up your shed ourselves, in order to ensure you are left delighted.
We believe your potting shed should provide a comfortable and practical space that will support your gardening needs for years to come. That is why we use only high-grade materials and construction methods in our buildings. We use 13mm thick sustainably-sourced Swedish pine for all our cladding, hand-picking the best boards, looking out for splits and dry or loose knots that could cause problems.
Tongue and groove is used in the flooring, walls and doors, with the cladding machined to our own unique profile in order to ensure a stronger board. We use horticultural glass, silicon-sealed in place. Doors are ledged and braced, and incorporate three hinges per door. For the roof we use high-quality ten-year felt (giving double the standard five-year lifespan used by most manufacturers).
